Mischa Barton Hospitalized for Mental Evaluation after she was found screaming in her garden.
Star of The OC, Mischa Barton has been hospitalised after being found screaming in her garden, climbing to the top of the fence wearing nothing but a shirt and tie - yelling that her mother is a 'Witch'.
Two days ago, the actress turned 31 and sent a tweet of thanks to her followers however on Thursday evening (yesterday) that tweet was deleted from her account.
This isn't the first time that Mischa Barton has encountered mental health problems - in 2009, the actress was sectioned for two weeks under a '5150' meaning in Californian law, allowing a psychiatrist to involuntarily confine a person which is deemed to have a mental disorder and could pose a danger to themselves and others.
After her 5150, the actress spoke about the situation - "If they feel you are depressed or a danger to yourself, they can hold you on a 5150. I am terrified of needles and they just wanted to pump me full of drugs. I said "No, absolutely not. I don't want to be here" and I ended up getting into a fight with the nurses - that led me to my 5150"
The actress gained wide recognition for her role on "The OC" with a promising career ahead, until her partying began to get out of control and started taking over her life.

In 2007, she was arrested for DUI and just two years later suffered a nervous breakdown when she threatened to kill herself.
In 2009, her home was taken into foreclosure after she had failed to pay her mortgage for 5 months.
Continued problems with her mother, legal battles and problems in her career (having been paid for a role and going on holiday instead) - Mischa's life has definitely taken a turn for the worse.
Last year, she re-listed her home for sale with a price tag of $7.4 million - there has been no interest after trying to sell it for 6 years.
In 2010, the original asking price for the property was $8.6 million - even opting to rent out the mansion for $35,000 per month - again, she received no interest.
According to sources close to her, all the legal battles she has faced and all the personal and career troubles have now left her homeless and frankly - broke.
