Protests At JFK Airport Against Trump Refugee Policy

Protests taking place at JFK Airport against President Trump's Refugee Policy.

Protests are currently taking place at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, against President Trump's Refugee Policy.

On his election campaign, the President had promised new measures and strict control on who enters the US with the aim of making America Safe from "radical Islamic terrorists".

The executive order was signed yesterday with immediate effect and with no visas being issued for 90 days to migrants or visitors from seven muslim-majority nations such as: Iran, Libya, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and Syria

Homeland security spokespeople confirmed that the order would also bar Green Card holders from those countries mentioned above if they had left the United States and would not be allowed to return for 90 days.

Those in the United States with a Visa or Green Card WILL be allowed to stay and there will also be an exemption for foreigners whose entry is in the national interest.

However, there are now reports that Visa holders are being denied permission to enter the country with congressmen being seen arriving at JFK in order to try and help some of those people who had been detained.

Demonstrations are currently taking place at JFK Airport in New York.
