This Tree Grows 40 DIFFERENT Types of Fruit

By grafting the buds from different types of stone fruit trees and attaching them onto the branches of a single tree, it has become capable of growing 40 different types of fruit.
Some of the fruits include the following - Peaches, Apricots, Plums, Cherries, Nectarines and this is just to name a few.
Sam Van Aken, the creator of the tree has said the following about this 'invention' - "I look at the Tree of 40 Fruits as an artwork piece. It's a research project and a form of conservation."
Since he created his first tree, Sam Van Aken has now gone on to plant another 16 trees in seven states across the United States.
The picture that you can see above is an artist development of how the tree will look in 10 years time at full-bloom.
