O.J. Simpson Granted Parole
O.J. Simpson has been granted parole after serving 9 years for armed robbery and kidnapping - see all the details below.
After being convicted back in 2008 and serving 9 years of a lengthy sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, O.J. Simpson has been granted parole by a Nevada parole board.
The hearing which was televised and aired live, saw O.J. Simpson in an overall relaxed manner,wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans - even laughing when the parole board Chairman, Connie Bisbee accidentally said that O.J. Simpson was aged 90.
He replied - "I feel like it."
O.J. Simpson will walk free, leaving prison on the 1st October.
A story which has captured everyone, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the killing of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman - yet in 1997, he was found liable in civil court for the deaths and ordered to pay $33.5 million to the survivors including his children and the Goldman family.
Many people believe that the lengthy sentence which was given to him now wasn't just about the robbery, it was also an attempt by the Nevada authorities to right what many perceived to be wrong for his murder trial.
