Reasons Why Chihuahuas Are Amongst The Best Dogs To Raise

If you ever thought that Chihuahuas are high-maintenance or aggressive then this post is for you - here are some reasons as to why Chihuahuas are now considered to be amongst the best dogs to raise.

No matter what dog breed you choose to adopt or purchase, everything comes down to how you train and teach your dog to behave.

Many people assume that a certain type of breed can be aggressive or bad-mannered however, 9 times out of 10 it's down to how the owner teaches their dog to behave.

Chihuahuas have been labelled as high-maintenance, aggressive dogs and that's due to owners treating their pet as a baby and not disciplining them enough.

In this post, we're showing you some of the reasons as to why Chihuahuas are now being considered one of the best dogs to raise.

Chihuahuas Are Loyal

Yes - these tiny little creatures are extremely loyal to their owner. They rarely leave your side, making them the perfect companion.

Chihuahuas Are Entertaining

One thing which Chihuahuas have is personality! Even when you're feeling down or miserable, these little dogs are a bundle of joy.

Chihuahuas Are Small

Ok, so this is an obvious reason however if you live in a small home or apartment then a Chihuahua could be the perfect pet for you.
As long as they have food, a snuggly bed, warmth and love - they're happy.

Chihuahuas Can Live Longer

Even though Chihuahuas are so small, they tend to live longer than other breeds such as Labradors - normally reaching around 17 / 18 years of age, depending on their diet and overall health.

Chihuahuas Are Trainable

Again, don't be put off by the size of this little dog - just because they're small, it doesn't mean that they don't understand.
In fact, Chihuahuas can be trained to have good-manners and are also capable of learning different tricks and commands.
It all comes down to your patience as the owner and the discipline which you apply to train them.
