Police corruption in the UK - The Truth

Police Corruption in the UK - The Truth

Here's the truth about police corruption in the UK - it's currently happening in forces all over Britain and isn't stopping anytime soon…..

"We are committed to dealing with all corruption in the police service - that includes those who seek to corrupt our staff

These are powerful words but what happens when a Police Officer challenges a superintendent for ordering an unlawful release from custody just because it's their friend?

Sounds unbelievable doesn't it?

The scary fact is that we still live in a world where corruption exists - this is a true story and the Police Officer in question became a target within the police service.

Being bullied on a daily basis and reaching the point where they had no other choice but to resign - all because they wanted to do the right thing….

Superintendent to PC - "PC, We don't arrest our own people now do we?

PC Answer - "With all your respect Sir, if we suspect that they have committed a criminal offence regardless whether they are a member of staff, we do arrest them.

Superintendent to PC - "PC, we don't shit on our own doorstep do we?"

The conversation continued between the two and the suspect was then released from custody with the Superintendent telling the Police Officer to "Stay away" from the matter.

Everything then changed for the PC who had been working in the same force for over 10 years - resigning due to the stress from the bullying which affected their health and state.

A Police Officer who questions or challenges someone in higher ranking is then looked at in a different way, even if they want to do the right thing.

The sad thing is that this is what happens in forces around Britain and this is what Police Officers have to deal with - on an almost daily basis.

Corruption and brushing things under the carpet is unfortunately not uncommon in an organisation that keeps trying to tell people that they 'dealing and investigating' issues surrounding situations such as the above.

The only thing that happens is that genuine, professional, hard-working and honest Police Officers are bullied and pushed to the stage where they have no other choice but to resign - the people left behind in the organisation are the ones who are 'protecting us'.

Can we really count on that?
