Snow Falls in Sahara Desert First Time in 37 Years

This week however, something of a miracle occurred - a place that you wouldn't normally associate with cold weather (or snow) has seen it's first snow fall in 37 years!
The Sahara Desert reached temperatures below freezing this week and according to reports and locals, it's not unusual for the desert to reach such temperatures in the winter.
This year was the year that the desert would see snow after 37 years - the beautiful, bright orange sand dusted with white from the snow fall…. a picture to admire…
