According to numerous reports, Brad Pitt had to get through a 'tangled web' in order to track down his ex-wife's phone number - to wish her Happy Birthday in February.
Since then - the two have started talking again and are "texting each other"remaining in regular contact with one another and reminiscing about their time in the past.
Since the news of Brad Pitt's divorce from Angelina Jolie in September 2016, it's been up and down for the Hollywood Star who has been surrounded by different headlines.
Trying to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible, Brad has remained quiet about the split only speaking out to thank people for their support.
Angelina Jolie on the other hand has spoken to the media saying that "it was a difficult time" in one of her recent interviews with BBC World News.
The pair are currently battling for joint custody of their children.
The source close to Brad Pitt continued to say that even though he and Jennifer Aniston are in contact, that's all it is - "They have been texting and they are now in touch. There has been some friendly texts back and forth but nothing more than that."
