McDonald's plans to begin home delivery service in the UK

McDonald's plans to begin home delivery service in the UK

The fast-food chain is making big changes….
Since losing 500 MILLION customers since 2012 - the fast-food chain is now looking at different ways to increase it's sales.

With an announcement, McDonald's has said that it will be making big changes this year - especially in the UK.

It's delivery service already operates in countries including Singapore, China and South Korea.

McDonald's - "China has tripled it's delivery business since the launch in 2008. In 2016 alone, the business grew by 30 per cent.

It's not only the delivery service that will be introduced to the UK market - the chain is looking at developing the 'digital side' of it's business to allow customers to easily order things on-the-go - by the end of the year.

Order and Pay Technology - Allows customers to easily order their food and pay using their smartphones.

Curbside Pickup - If customers choose 'Curbside Pickup' this will mean that they skip the drive-thru line and a McDonald's employee will bring food to their car.

With new technology and ideas - McDonald's believes that this will revolutionise the way people order their food making it easy (and quicker) for their customers.

If things go to plan - this will mean shorter waiting times at the drive-thru and the need for more staff for the curb side delivery process which should be introduced by the end of the year.
