Coca-Cola Zero REPLACED by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar - and people are NOT happy!
As we say goodbye to Coca-Cola Zero, markets around the world are welcoming Coca-Cola Zero Sugar however people are just not happy….
The drink will be getting a new name (Zero Sugar), a new look and an even more delicious taste however this didn't stop being from taking to social media to express their feelings.
People are simply not happy with the change - despite the drink already being made available to 25 markets around the world including the U.S, the UK and Mexico to name a few.
Stuart Kronaauge who is the business unit president of the USA Operations and senior Vice President of Marketing in Coca-Cola North America said the following - "More than 10 years ago, we launched Coca-Cola Zero with a revolutionary recipe that gave fans a real Coca-Cola taste without the sugar and calories."
"The brand grew strongly after it's launch and gained millions of loyal fans over time but we recognised an opportunity to give the brand another boost and to encourage more Coca-Cola fans to try great-tatsing zero-sugar product."
"We have used our in-house innovation capabilities to make the great taste of Coke Zero even better and a lot like a Coke. To achieve this, we optimised the unique blend of flavours that gave Coke Zero it's real Coca-Cola taste and in the new and improved Coca-Cola Zero Sugar recipe. It's delicious, refreshing and our best-tasing zero-sugar Coca-Cola yet!"
This is the month where the U.S will see the transition and if social media is anything to go by, it's not going to be the easiest or quietest of changes as there are more Coke Zero fans in the US than any other market in the world!
