Barcelona Terror Attack - What We Know
The Barcelona Terror Attack in the Las Ramblas area has left many people injured - more details are listed below of what we know so far.
At the moment, police have said that two people have been killed with many others seriously injured after a white van ploughed into pedestrians in Barcelona.
The person in the van fled the scene quickly and there are now reports of 'two armed men' who are taking hostages in a nearby restaurant.
According to eyewitnesses, there was a huge emergency response in the area after the attack and one tourist in the area also noticed a higher level of security in the area today.
Following the attack, metro lines have been closed, shops have been shut along with cafe's and some restaurants however as mentioned - there is an ongoing hostage situation in a nearby restaurant but no other details have been released.
