For those of you who are reading this and wondering if it's real - yes, it is!
ALCOTRAZ is an Alcatraz-themed bar which has replicated the atmosphere of prison life. "London's first prison cocktail bar" is a 3-month pop-up bar which has been developed to "allow visitors to experience a slice of Alcatraz penitentiary which is only seen by most in fiction."
The customers are given an inmate number and provided with an orange suit (pictured below) who are then directed to their cell for the time they spend in the bar. Staff and 'guards' are all dressed as prison members - serving the drinks and making the whole experience seem like you're actually in prison.
The pop-up bar hasn't been seen in a positive light with many, many people critiquing the whole approach for the theme - other people however are supporting the pop-up cocktail bar by saying it's something different for people to experience and visit.
