The Paris Seabubble - The 'Flying Water Taxi'
Yes! You're reading this correctly - this will soon be another way of transport around the city of Paris.
The startup company, Seabubbles are aiming to have this working for the public by 2017 with their first city being Paris.
As you can see in the picture above, Seabubbles are another form of transportation around busy cities with the main inspiration coming from electric and hybrid cars.
Each shuttle or 'flying water taxi' has been made up from a mix of fibreglass and high density foam - it's eco-friendly, solar powered, super-quiet and totally - emissions free!
The target is for the flying water taxis to become a standard way of transportation, taking advantage of the open waterways which will in effect reduce road traffic too.
Not only will they be used in Paris - the company's co-founder has also met up with officials in New York, Florida and other European cities with the possibility of expanding further.
This is a great idea and sure - we'd all love to see this in London, taxi's on the river Thames anyone!?
