Shooting in Florida Airport: Five People Shot Dead at Fort Lauderdale Airport
Here's what we know so far….
Five people have been shot dead by a gunman at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida with five people being killed.
The gunman had arrived at the airport from Canada and his gun had been checked into his luggage. A source says that the gunman was wearing a Star Wars t-shirt and was "hanging around" a coffee shop in the baggage reclaim area.
Sources are saying they he went into the bathroom to load it before opening fire - killing five people and injuring another eight.
The incident took place in Terminal 2 of the baggage reclaim area and the gunman has since been taken into custody.
The area is still "active" with police surrounding the area….
