Louvre Evacuation: Suspicious Package Found
Police have started evacuating the area after a suspicious package was found - more details can be seen below.
It hasn't been confirmed yet as to what the item is - some reports are mentioning a suspicious package other reports are saying that it was a kind of camera battery which was wrapped up in a package.
The area is currently on lockdown but spokespeople are re-assuring the public and saying this this is simply a "precautionary measure" and to ensure that all the essential "security checks" have been carried out.
The are was already heavily guarded with a strong presence of both armed soldiers and police officers in the area.
The country is still on high-alert after the devastating attacks it has faced.
