Powerful Earthquake In Alaska: Magnitude 7.9
A powerful earthquake in Alaska took place in the early hours of the morning and here, you can see all the details.
The first reports suggested that the earthquake was a magnitude of 8.2 however later reports are showing that the quake was actually 7.9 - either way, a powerful Earthquake.
Taking place in the early hours of the morning, lasting for around 90 seconds - the quake was recorded 170 miles southeast of Kodiak Island - in the gulf of Alaska which also prompted a Tsunami warning for people in the area.
Emergency services also took to their social media pages, alerting people and telling them to "get ready" in case an evacuation process needed to take place.
Since then, there have been no reports of any damage and no evacuation process has taken place. The Tsunami warning has also been lifted but people are wary.
